Thinking about attending a music festival but don’t want to leave your dog behind? I have many friends who own pets and love to attend music festivals. Music festivals is a great way to social and I believe it’s a once in a lifetime experience. It’s a must try, but most festivals won’t allow pets in. There are exceptions though! I’ve done my research and the following music festivals are dog-friendly.
Shrewsbury Folk Festival
This is a well known music festival in UK. Shrewsbury Folk Festival prides itself on providing a unique mix of old folk music with a relaxing vibe. The festival is a great option for all campers, foodies, and pet owners. This festival is not only dog-friendly, but it’s also kids friendly as well. Worth looking into!
Ely Folk Festival
Next up on our list is Ely Folk Festival. Yep, this is another music festival for folk music and dogs are allowed! Ely Folk Festival is perfect for a weekend camping trip or just a day out in the sun. This is an outdoor festival so get your summer gear on!
Dentdale Music and Beer Festival
The name itself sounds fun enough! Chill back with a can of beer at this dog-friendly music festival. Get some camping gear ready because this is an outdoor festival and usually occurs during the summer time. Perfect time to take your pup out to the sun while enjoying some relaxing music.
Cropredy is a small town village, five miles North of Banbury, which plays host to up to 20,000 music lovers each August for the annual Fairport Cropredy Convention, a festival that specialises in music that’s all about fun and positivity.
The festival has a truly communal atmosphere, giving kids a warm welcome with special events such as teaching circus skills, and admitting all dogs. Maybe your dog can dance around in this music festival as well 🙂
Cambridge Rock Festival
Cambridge stand up!!! This is for more of those rock n roll fans. It’s an outdoor rock festival that is dog-friendly, so you can bring your pups with you to this festival. Just 2.5 miles from the centre of Cambridge, the festival provides great food and ales alongside incredible rock and blues music. I’ve never been to this one, but I have friends that own puppies and rode a van to this festival. They said it was worth the road trip and the vibe!
Lakefest has been growing ever since it started. Lake Fest has seen its popularity rise rapidly steadily since its first event in 2011. Despite its increase in interest, Lake Fest has vowed to remain loyal to its grass roots and family friendly atmosphere. And it’s with this in mind that they let all your Fidos companions come along to the party.
I felt that this festival had more of an old school feel though.
Maverick festival has a rural, community feel to it, which is a perfect alternative to larger and more crowded festivals. Going to this festival makes people feel like Thanksgiving with strangers. You’ll notice that there are a lot of pups around as well. Maverick is more than just a music festival; it’s a holiday for all the family; even your four-legged friends.
Hosted at the site of The Rural Life Centre in Tilford. This is one of the most dog-friendly festivals. People that attend this festival literally walk their dogs around the festival and talk with other dog owners. It’s like a meet and greet all in one place. I love it!
There you have it dog owners! The most dog-friendly music festivals out there. Let’s get your dogs dancing at one of these upcoming festivals!
